ROAD BOWLING FIXTURES: JULY 8 2014

Whitechurch are once again hosts as the All-Ireland series brings seven championship finals to the City region on Saturday and Sunday next. The senior men's decider on Sunday afternoon next looms large as the feature event but with veteran, junior B, intermediate ladies and three under-age play offs also on the card, a bumper weekends bowling is looked forward to. A special welcome is extended to out northern counterparts and we promise them fair battle for the coveted titles on offer. No doubt, the senior clash between Aidan Murphy and Cathal Toal will garner most attention and it does promise a thriller given the performances of both in their respective provincial deciders. Cork may have trump cards in Jerry Murphy (veteran), Maria Nagle (girls U16) and Patrick Flood (Boys U12) but absolutely nothing can be taken for granted.
